I'm not new to unattended SQL setups.
The installation parameters that i use are working fine so far. I need to use the unattended installation in a custom setup for my application. However neither /QS nor /UIMODE=AutoAdvance does not satisfy me.
/QS /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /UpdateEnabled=False /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQL /TCPENABLED=1 /NPENABLED=1 /INSTANCENAME=[INSTANCE] /BROWSERSVCSTARTUPTYPE=AUTOMATIC /SECURITYMODE=SQL /SAPWD=[PASSWORD]
My problem with /QS is that the user don't get ANY error message.
With /UIMODE=AutoAdvance I get the necessary error message. However, the user can change my settings with this UIMODE. Especially than there is another sql instance installed.
Is there any possibility to show the error dialogs BUT NOT the essential dialogs for the setting?
