Hi,
Is it possible to insert JSON data to SQL Server directly using stored procedure?
Somthing like for XML we are using sp_xml_preparedocument and openxml. For JSON ???
I am experiencing the following:
After installing SQL Server 2014 Express with Advanced Services x64 on two machines (Windows 7 x64, Windows 8.1 x64), on Windows 7 there is no "Schemas" folder in the Object Explorer. Possibly others are also missing. On Windows 8.1, every folder
is visible.
I am connected as database owner.
Any hint on getting every folder shown?
i'm on a different computer than the one i normally use and on this one when i double click the database.mdf it shows me just letters instead of the tables it shows me on the other computer. i'm using Visual Studio Community 2015 on the computer that it doesn't work on and 2012/3 (don't remember) on the computer it is working on.
sorry if this is the wrong place to post this in
Please Help me for the below Issue.

After installation OS Windows 10 I cannot install SQL Server 2012 Express (SQL Server 2012 Enterprise, SQL Server 2014 Professional).
I have downloaded a SQL Server 2012 Express from the Microsoft download site. I am trying to install in on my HP PC (RAM 9Gb, HD 1Tb) with Windows 10 OS. During installation it gives me an error - "Couldn't find the Database Engine start-up handle", Product version 11.0.3128.0, LinkID 20476, MessageID 50000. The System cannot install:
Reporting Service-Native, Database Engine Service, Data Quality Service, Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search, SQL Server Replication.
Is anybody, including Microsoft technical team, can help me?

Attempting to install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express Edition on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit computer.
During the installation process the following error is displayed...

Hi All,
I have an requirement I have a value like '1,2,3' And i want to convert in to ' '1','2','3' '
Can any one please help me.
After upgrading a computer to Windows 10 I am unable to connect using the computer name but I am able to connect with the IP Address.
I was running SQL Express 2008 R2 and completely uninstalled and installed SQL Express 2014 and still have the same issue. I also found that if I include the port number with the Computer Name I am able to connect. I have this same issue on multiple computers.
Hi,
I am currently trying to create a project in C++ in Visual Studio 2015 community. I have created a localDB instance of SQL server, which I am connected too. However, when I go to create a table, I get the following error message:
"Problem Loading. The designed encountered an error while loading the table definition".
I have tried searching various forums to see if anyone else has has this problem, but the general solutions have just been to restart Visual Studio, which doesn't work for me.
Could anyone help with this?
Thanks,
Dan
I have installed and used Express Edition when using SQL Server 2000/5.
For SQL Server 2008R2, how do I install an instance for the Express Edition.
Also, now I have Visual Studio 2010 in my workstation, how can I install the
Express Edition to the App_data folder of the local ASPnet 4.0 applications?
Thanks,
Jeffrey

Help please. I have been trying to install Sql Server 2014 express SP1 on my windows 10 machine but the database engine services fails to install (see screenshot). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the feature but always get the same result. I have also tried the solution from this link but no luck as well. Below is the summary log. I don't know why it says my OS version is Windows 8 when I am already on Windows 10.

Framework 4 no longer uses caspol.exe per running the command line; C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727>caspol.exe -all -reset Microsoft (R) .NET Framework CasPol 2.0.50727.5420 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. ERROR: Runtime error: This method explicitly uses CAS policy, which has been obs oleted by the .NET Framework. In order to enable CAS policy for compatibility re asons, please use the NetFx40_LegacySecurityPolicy configuration switch. Please see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=155570 for more information. Now I extracted the executable and the configuration file used for the setup seems to indicate that it is using the legacy flags indicated in the CAS link. I ran the exact same command line on the 32 bit folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727>caspol.exe -all -reset And it successfully created security.config and security.config.cch in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config In desperation, I copied those files into the 64 bit folder; C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\config And ran the installation, successfully installing SQL 2012. Here's the rub, WHY can the security.config files not be created? It seems to indicate it tries to create them but fails, I am logged in as an administrator on the machine and I did run the setup using elevated rights (right click run as administrator) I'm flumoxed, anyone else run into similar issues? Have any clues or ideas? Thanks. Connie |
I can not figure this out and there is no documentation on ExitCodes. I am running the install as part of a bootstrapper I built. I have SQL Server Express 2012 installed and am expecting the bootstrapper to UPGRADE the system.
Here is the command that is being executed:
SQLEXPRWT_x86_ENU.EXE /q /action=Upgrade /instancename=SQLEXPRESS /UpdateEnabled=False /IAcceptSqlServerLicenseTerms /skiprules=RebootRequiredCheck
Here is the log:
